Watch the clue
When a drop goes live we post a video on Instagram at @dash_for_cash_uk, and send an alert to everyone who has them turned on. The clip shows the hiding spot and what’s around it, but never a street address.
Dash to the spot
Use the landmarks, signs and sounds in the clip to work out where it is, then head there. Every drop is in a public place you can reach safely on foot. No digging, climbing or going anywhere you shouldn’t.
Cash it
Found the yellow envelope? The £100 is yours. Film your find and tag @dash_for_cash_uk so we can mark the drop as found and let everyone else know it’s gone.
Reading the clues
Landmarks
Churches, statues, shop fronts, bridges. If it’s in shot, it’s there for a reason.
Signs and sounds
Street signs, bus numbers, station announcements. Turn the sound up.
Extra clues
If nobody finds it for a while, we post a follow-up clue that narrows it down.
The reveal
Once it’s found, we show exactly where it was so you can see how close you were.

How much is in each envelope?
£100 in cash, every time.
Is it really free?
Yes. There’s nothing to buy, no entry fee and no sign-up. We will never ask you for money or bank details. If anyone does, it isn’t us.
Do I have to post a video of my find?
No, but we’d love it if you did. It also helps us mark the drop as found quickly, so nobody else wastes a trip.
What if someone beats me to it?
That’s the game. Check the Latest drops page or your alerts before you set off, and there’ll be another drop soon.
Where do you hide them?
Public places across the UK, such as parks, high streets and town centres. Never on private land without permission, and never anywhere unsafe to reach.
How do I get alerts on my phone?
Tap Get alerts and allow notifications. On iPhone, first add Dash for Cash to your home screen from Safari’s Share menu, then open it from there and turn alerts on.
