The rules

The short version: it’s free, play safe, and the first person to find the envelope keeps the £100.

1. Who can play

You must be 18 or over to collect a drop. Under 18? You can still watch and follow along, but please don’t go looking for envelopes.

2. It’s free

Dash for Cash is free to play. There is nothing to buy, no entry fee and no sign-up. Following our accounts or turning on alerts is optional and never affects your chances.

3. Finding a drop

  • Each drop is one yellow Dash for Cash envelope containing £100 in cash.
  • The first person to find it keeps it. One envelope, one winner.
  • Please let us know you found it by tagging @dash_for_cash_uk on Instagram or emailing us, so we can mark it as found.
  • If you arrive and it’s gone, someone beat you to it. We can’t replace drops that have already been taken.

4. Staying safe

No drop is worth getting hurt for. If reaching a spot feels unsafe, leave it.
  • Never run into roads or cross railways, and stay away from water edges.
  • Don’t climb walls, trees, fences or structures.
  • Don’t go out searching alone at night. Tell someone where you’re going.
  • Be careful of other people searching at the same time. Be patient and polite.

5. Respecting places

  • We only hide drops in public places, or with the landowner’s permission.
  • No trespassing, digging, moving or damaging anything.
  • Leave every spot exactly as you found it, and take your litter home.
  • Respect local residents, businesses and anyone else using the space.

6. Unclaimed drops

If a drop hasn’t been found after [NUMBER] days, we may post extra clues or collect it and carry the cash over to a future drop.

7. Scams and fake accounts

We will never message you asking for money, bank details, a “release fee” or personal information to claim a prize.

Our official Instagram is @dash_for_cash_uk, and our website is dashforcash.co.uk. Any new accounts we open will be listed here first. If you get a message from anyone else claiming to be us, please report it to the platform and don’t reply.

8. Fair play

Please don’t follow us while we hide drops, share exact locations before a clue goes live, or take an envelope from someone who found it first. We may stop posting in an area if people put others at risk.

9. Changes and contact
